Mango and Dahl Curry

1/2 Kilogram Toor Dal or Split Pigeon Peas1 green (cooking) mango1 14.5 ounce can diced tomatoes2 green hot peppers1 onion1 tsp cilantro1/2 Tbsp chili powder1/4 tsp turmericsalt to taste8 dried red chili peppers10 cloves of garlic20 curry leaves or 2 Tbsp curry powder1/4 tsp black mustard seeds1/4 tsp jeera seeds1 Tbsp vegetable oil
Boil dal
After the dal start to boil add mango (skin taken off and fruit taken off the seed), onion, tomatoes, green chilies, turmeric, chili powder, and cilantro.
When the dal is finished boiling and is soft add salt and mash the dal.
Fry the dried chilies, garlic cloves, curry leaves, mustard seeds, jeera seeds, and half the cilantro in the oil.
Add fried mixture to dal.
Stir and serve hot over rice.
