Black Eyed Peas

Ingredients
Entire bag of black eyed peas2 cans of regular size tomatoe sauce1 bunch of raw green onionssalt, pepperFranks hot sauce...added to taste
Directions
Boil the black eyed peas in a large pot with enough water to amply cover them. Let them cook for at least an hour.

When the peas are cooked, and you can squish them with your fingers drain the water from the pot. A little a dente is fine. Add in the tomatoe sauce, green onions, franks hot sauce and season to taste. I like adding garlic powder and cajun spice.

Cook until the sauce has thikened.
Allow to cook for 20 minutes.
