I used my apple sauce recipe to make the apple butter. Just cook the 4 cups of apples sauce overnight in a slow cooker. This prevents the apple butter from burning. Will cook down to 1 3/4 cups.Makes 28 1 tablespoon servings.
Cook the apple sauce overnight in a slow cooker. Add additional cloves, cinnamon to taste.
