Spicy Bourbon Pecans

Ingredients
1/2 Cup Bourbon Whiskey1 l b Pecan Halves1/2 Cup Bourbon1/2 Cup Sugar1/2 tsp Angostura Bitters1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce1 Tbsp Corn Oil1 Tbsp Cayenne Pepper1 tsp Ground Cumin1/2 tsp salt1/4 tsp black pepper
Directions
Boil pecans in water for 3 minutes.
Pour bourbon into a small sauce pan and bring to boil till reduced to 1/4 cup.
Combine bourbon and sugar till melted and pour into large bowl with bitters, Worcestershire sauce, and corn oil. Stir in pecans and mix toss thoroughly till all are coated. Let nuts set for 10 minutes.
Pour into rimmed baking sheet. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes. Toss every 10 minutes till liquid is evaporated.
Toss hot pecans with cayenne, cumin,salt, and black pepper. Transfer to baking sheet till cool and dry. Store at room temperature.

    These are SO good, and YES addictive! I didn't have bourbon so I used dark rum. Not sure how that changes calories, if at all, but certainly yummy!! - 3/6/08
