Shrimp and Asparagus Pasta

Ingredients
12 Medium raw shrimp (reserve the shells optional)1 cup Asparagus cut into 1" pieces1 clove of garlic (optional)3 Oz Whole wheat spaghetti1 Pat unsalted butter1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil1 cup Chicken broth (or one cup shrimp stock)4 Oz White wine (optional)

Peel shrimp and devein if necessary.

Sautee fresh asparagus and minced garlic until heated through. Remove asparagus. Add chicken stock. Reduce to 1/2 volume. Add peeled deveined raw shrimp and cook until just about done. Approx 2 min. Reintroduce asparagus and warm through. Add pat of butter and stir until sauce has a sheen. Toss with strained whole wheat spaghetti.
