Ingredients
1 slice of whole grain bread, 1 egg, pat of butter.
Directions
Melt butter in a small nonstick frying pan on medium heat. Cut or poke a 1" hole in the bread and add it (and the "hole") to the pan. Crack an egg into the hole in the bread and fry on medium heat for about 1-1/2 minutes, turn over and fry the other side for another 1-1/2 minutes or to the desired doneness. Great as a breakfast item or light supper. May be served with side of bacon or ham for breakfast, if desired.

You can also lower the calories by spraying the bread with Pam or the equivalent - 4/16/11
