6 apples sliced0.5 cup packed brown sugar0.5 apple juice1 tsp cinnamon1/8 tsp nutmeg1/8 tsp salt
Directions
combine ingredients in saucepan. Cover and cook over med-low heat for 45 minutes or until apples are tender.Let stand 5 minutes.

    I modified this by leaving out the sugar. The apples I used were already sweet and I found that I didn't miss the additional sweetening at all. - 3/9/08
