Whole Grain Pasta with Whole Milk Alfredo

14oz box Whole Grain Thin Spaghetti (or other pasta)2 tbsp flour2 tbsp butter2 cups whole milk3/4 cup parmesan cheese1 1/2 tsp garlic powder1/2 tsp salt1/4 tsp fresh cracked black pepper
Set a pot of water on the stove to boil. Prepare the sauce. Set medium saucepan on medium heat. Melt butter and whisk in flour until it becomes a paste. Continue whisking until it is a golden color then whisk in 1 1/2 cups of the milk until there are no chunks of flour. Bring the milk just to a boil and reduce to simmer. Whisk in parmesan cheese. Add garlic powder. Add salt and pepper, to taste. Simmer for 5-6 more minutes, adding additional 1/2 cup milk if you want thinner sauce. Toss pasta in sauce and serve.
