Whole Wheat Corn Muffins

Ingredients
1/4 cup butter1/4 cup applesauce2 eggs1 cup yogurt, buttermilk, or I have used juice with good results1 tsp salt2 T sugar (optional)1 tsp baking soda3/4 cup cornmeal3/4 cup whole wheat flour1 scoop protien powder
Directions
Measure the butter and applesauce into a bowl. Crack in the eggs and milk or juice. Beat with a whisk. Add salt, soda, cornmeal, flour and protein powder. Stir just till moist. Oil a dozen muffin cups and divide the batter evenly among them. Bake at 400 for about 20 minutes. Remove from oven and cool slightly before serving with honey butter.
