Cream Cheese and Jam French Toast

2 slices low calorie whole wheat bread (I use weight watchers)1 tbsp spreadable light cream cheese1 tbsp sugar free jam1/4 cup egg whites (2 egg whites)3 tbsp nonfat milk1 tsp vanilla extractcinnamon (optional)
Spread bread with cream cheese and jam and make into a sandwich. Combine egg, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon in a pie plate or plate with edges. Dip bread in egg mixture to coat both sides, if I have a bit left on the plate I pour it over top of the bread once it is in the pan. Place bread in a skillet preheated over medium, cook until golden brown on both sides.

ALILDUCKLING
1/15 This recipe cooked a little soggy (later realized I used too much egg white sub). I also wanted more cream cheese, so I am thinking of sub'ing 2 Tbsp of FF cream cheese.
I might even add a 1/2 pkt of Sucralose to cream cheese.
Not overly impressive, but I think tweaking could make me happy. - 1/10/15

I really enjoyed this, hubby not so much but he said he didn't like the warm jam. So I don't think it was the whole recipe! lol This was a nice treat and a little different than regular French Toast and was very easy to make! Thanks for sharing! I will make again and just leave off the jam for DH! - 7/20/10
