Ingredients
1 cup brewed coffee1/2 cup dry oatmeal1/2 T unsweetened cocoa powder1 packet splenda (or 1-2t sugar)
Directions
It's easy. When you make coffee in the morning, simply set aside 1 cup to use for this.

Use that 1 cup of coffee the way you would use water to cook oatmeal (either stovetop, microwave, or adding it hot to quick oats and letting it sit). This alone adds a wonderful flavor.

Stir in the cocoa powder and sweetener to the the oatmeal and enjoy!

Have a couple hardboiled eggs, or Greek Yogurt to go along with this for some protein

Going to try this with Stevia in place of the Splenda--as splenda doesn't agree with me. - 1/16/18

Great,1 tablespoon of coco powder, (1/2 would have been fine) so added 1.5 cups of left over decaf coffee and some Monk Fruit sweetener, cinnamon &vanilla. Sprinkled with fiber one cereal & 1 tab reconstituted PB2 & almonds. McCann's quick oats cook up thicker then other brands, vary topping is fun - 5/26/17

I tried this and it was good. I have a few recipes that I use cocoa powder in. I really don't have a problem with bland foods of any kind because I like variety and am always trying new and different recipes. Thanks for the idea. - 3/2/14
