Pumpkin Banana Bread with cinnamon Swirl

Ingredients
3/4 cup whole wheat flour1 cup spelt flour1 tsp baking soda1/2 tsp salt1 TBS cinnamon1/2 tsp ginger1/2 tsp cardamom1/4 tsp nutmeg1/4 tsp clove1 1/2 cup sugar1 tsp molasses1 banana, mashed8 oz pumpkin puree, fresh or canned..5 tsp vanilla extract1/2 cup applesauce For the cinnamon swirl (optional) 1/2 tsp. cinnamon1/4 tsp sugar
Directions
Line a 9x5 loaf pan with parchment paper.

Blend dry ingredients (WW flour, spelt flour, baking soda, salt, spices) Set aside.

Mix cinnamon swirl components, cinnamon and sugar, and set aside.

Using an electric mixer, blend the sugar, molasses, banana and pumpkin until smooth. Add in the eggs, applesauce and vanilla and mix at medium speed until smooth.

Add in the dry mix and blend thoroughly.

Pour half the mix into the loaf pan. sprinkle the cinnamon/sugar mix evenly across the surface. Top with the remaining batter.

Bake at 350 for an hour or more until a toothpick inserted in the center removes cleanly.

Cool on a wire rack.

Serving Size: Makes 16 slices, about 1/2" wide
