Hamburger Cabbage Skillet Dinner

Ingredients
3 T butter1/2 cabbage, chopped2/3 C uncooked rice1 med onion2 lbs (32 oz) ground beef1 can (796 ml) diced tomatoessalt & pepper to taste
Directions
Melt butter in large pot; Layer chopped cabbage, uncooked rice, chopped onion, raw ground beef, salt & pepper to taste. Pour one large can of diced, chopped tomatoes (including liquid 796 ml) over top. Cover with lid & simmer 25-35 minutes until rice, cabbage & ground beef are done. Do not lift lid until the 1st check at 25/30 minutes. I find it often needs a little bit more time, just until liquid is aborbed.
