3 cups flour6 tsp baking powder1 pinch of salt75 g Olivani lite (or traditionally butter)1 - 1 1/2 cups of milk
Preheat oven to 220 C. Sift flour, baking powder and a pinch of salt. Cut butter in with 2 knives until mixture looks like breadcrumbs. Pour in 1 cup of milk and mix quickly with a knife into a soft dough. Add more milk if necessary.
Lightly dust an oven tray with flour and press scone dough into a loose square shape leaving some height. Cut into 12 leaving the square shape intact. Brush tops with milk.
Bake at the top of the oven for 10 minutes until golden brown. Pull apart and serve with jam and cream and a pot of tea.
