My family loves these. I substituted the sugar for 2 tbsp. of honey (1 would have been sufficient). I chopped a small bag of raisins because I made mini-muffins and the kids like it when they don't know they are raisins. I like to add a little orange or lemon zest, also. - 2/12/15

i altered the recipe just a smidgen.... if you don't have time to soak the oatmeal, it's cool, microwave them. Just for about a minute and a half, make them soft. I also made it with unsweetened almond milk. 35 cal a cup!! i also switcheed the applesauce for a banana and added pecans! delicious! - 2/18/12

I have made a substitution for the Splenda to an equal amount of Agave syrup which I mixed into the wet ingredients. The flour, which is listed as a wet ingredient, I mixed into the dry grouping instead. It smells heavenly baking. They are moist and tasty, and I will make them again. - 5/13/10

I thought they were quite good. They are very easy to make. I have to say my parents probably liked them more than I did. I am making more for them. I'll also continue to make more for myself. I believe they will make a good quick breakfast. - 10/24/09

These came out very moist. I only had golden delicious apples so the apple favor was mild. Next time I will try a stronger variety of apple. - 9/16/09

What i like about these muffins, is there is NO sugar in the recipe--but the small amount on top which gives it all the flavour you need! Excellent! - 1/5/09
