Beef and lentil chili

Ingredients
200g lean ground beef1 cup of lentils (I used mixed puy and red)2 onions chopped1 red or green bell pepper chopped1 cup chopped celery1 cup chopped carrots1tbsp chili powder2 cloves of garlic1 hot fresh red chili2 cans of tomatoes1 cup rolled oats1 glass of red wine
Directions
Makes 8 servings
In a large pan fry the ground beef until all the pink has gone. Add the onions, bell pepper, fresh chili, garlic, celery and carrot. Stir until the vegeables are starting to soften. Add the dried lentils, and red wine. Allow the wine to cook for a few minutes. Add oats, canned tomatoes, chili powder. If it looks a little dry add water or stock. Stir well and allow to simmer for at least an hour.
