Pork Soup in the Crock Pot

Ingredients
1 tablespoon butter1 tablespoon EVOO1 pound lean sirloin pork chops, cut into large cubes1 medium onion, chopped3 tablespoons all-purpose flour1 tablespoon paprika1 teaspoon salt� teaspoon ground black pepper4 cups vegetable broth4 sprigs fresh parsley, chopped2 tablespoons chopped celery leaves1 bay leaf� teaspoon dried marjoram3 unpeeled, diced potatoes2 carrots, sliced2 stalks celery, chopped1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste1 (15.25 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained
Directions
1. Melt butter and oil in a large skillet over medium heat until the foam disappears from the butter, and stir in the pork cubes and onion. Cook and stir until the pork and onion are browned, about 10 minutes. While pork is cooking, mix together flour, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Sprinkle the flour mixture over the browned meat, and stir to coat.
2. In a crock pot, pour in the broth and stir in the parsley, celery leaves, bay leaf, and marjoram. Stir in pork mixture.
3. Stir in the potatoes, carrots, celery, tomato paste and corn; cover, and cook at least 3 hours
4. Remove bay leaf and serve hot.
