Sue's Quick and Easy Seasoned Black Beans

Ingredients
1 (13.4 ounce) container black beans https://www.target.com/p/simply-balanced-organic-low-sodium-black-beans-13-4oz/-/A-15169627#prodSlot=medium_1_91 tablespoon chopped garlic1 shallot, chopped fine1 jalapeno chile, chopped fine (seeds removed if desired).5 teaspoon Mexican oregano1 teaspoon ground cumin1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil.25 cup chopped fresh cilantro1 tablespoon fresh lime juicesalt and black pepper (to taste)
Directions
In saut� pan heat garlic in oil on medium heat.
Add onion and jalape�o as oil begins to warm.
Add oregano and cumin and saut�, stirring frequently, until vegetables are tender, adding a few drops of water if they begin to stick.
Add contents of cans of black beans and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer for 20-25 minutes, to allow flavors to blend.
Add chopped cilantro and lime juice and stir.
Serve.
