Moist and Delicious Date bread

Ingredients
2.5 c boiling water1 lb dates cut up1/2 cup walnuts1 egg1 tbsp. applesauce1 tsp vanilla2 c sugar2 3/4 c flour2 tsp baking sodapinch salt
Directions
place cut up date in boiling water
cool and stir
cream nuts, egg, applesauce, vanilla, and sugar. Add to dates when cool then add the dry ingredients. put into greased, floured loaf pans

350 for 1 hour
