Ingredients
Directions
2 cups flour3/4 cup sugar3 tsp baking powder1/2 tsp baking soda1/2 tsp salt1 large egg3/4 cup skim milk1/4 cup cinnamon applesauce1 1/2 cups mashed bananas 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease bread loaf pan, unless it's nonstick. Mix all dry ingredients in a large bowl - be sure to mix well. Mix all wet ingredients in another bowl - be sure to mix well.
Add wet mix to dry mix and stir thoroughly. Stir in chocolate chips. Put into bread loaf pan and bake for approximately 55 to 65 minutes. Check the color around 50 minutes - it should be a nice golden brown. Insert a toothpick in center to check if it's done. The toothpick may be moist from bananas - just be sure it's not moist from batter. Let bread cool in pan for 5 to 10 minutes. Run a knife along outside edge to loosen sides before placing on a cooling rack. Cut into 12 slices.
