Tam's Lentil Burgers

Ingredients
1.5 cup Trader Joe's Black Beluga Lentils, cooked 1.5 cup cremini mushrooms, chopped, sauted till dry & browned1-2 Tbsp Nutritional Yeast Seasoning 1/2 cup Bread Crumbs, Panko (Japanese style), Kikkoman 6 oz Fisher Chef's Naturals Chopped Walnuts, small chop1 cup, finely chopped Onions3-4 clove Garlic, finely chopped2 tsp Thyme, fresh, chopped1 tbsp Sage leaves, fresh, finely chopped1 tsp Pepper, black1 tsp Salt Kosher Kroger4-5 large Eggs (start with 4, add the 5th if mixture not holding together)
Directions
Cook lentils if you're starting from dry.
Saute mushrooms until most of moisture is out.
Saute onions and garlic until softened.
Mix all ingredients, except eggs, together thoroughly. Taste and add salt and pepper to taste.
Add eggs and mix thoroughly.
Fry in your favorite oil - I like olive oil.


Serving Size: Makes 12 large burger patties or 24 slider-size burger patties
