Thai SWEET & SOUR CUCUMBER RELISH (TAENG KWA BRIO)

Ingredients
2 large (8-1/4" long) Cucumber (peeled, seeded, and very thinly sliced) 1 small Red Onion Raw .5 tsp crushed red pepper flakes 4 Tbsp Granulated Sugar .5 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap 5 tbsp White Vinegar .5 tsp Salt
Directions
Toss the cucumber, onion and chili flakes together in a bowl.

In a small saucepan, over low heat, dissolve the sugar in the water.

Remove from heat and stir in the vinegar and salt. Pour this mixture over the veggies.

Stir and refrigerate until served.
