The pork chops came out very tender and my husband really liked the dish. I think if the water were subbed with apple juice it would have been even better, but then the calories would have been higher too! Next time I make it I will double the spices and add apple juice and raisins. - 7/20/08

I've tried a similiar recipe--I calls for fat-free vegetable or chicken broth instead of water (really makes the chops flavorful and moist). In addition, the cayenne pepper is not something my family likes, so the broth is a flavorful substitute when you omit the spice. Happy cooking everyone! - 1/4/13

the jury's still out on this one. next time we'll try it with thicker pork chops and will leave out the cayenne pepper. it was too spicy for us and our pork chops came out pretty dry. it was easy to make, though, so we'll probably give it one more shot and see if the changes make a difference. - 12/14/10
