Ingredients
Directions
1 can garbanzo beans1 can black beans (or you can use dried and soaked overnight)1 tsp red pepper flakes1/2 tsp cumin2 TBS tahini2 cloves of garlic, roughly choppedjuice of 1-2 lemonssalt/pepper to taste
Serving size is aprox 2 TBS.
•Drain and rinse both cans of beans
•Put beans, garlic, spices, tahini and aprox 1/4 cup of the lemon juice into a food processor. Using the pulse function process until smooth
•Taste and correct the seasoning, adding more if need.
•if hummus is too dry add more lemon juice or use plain water
NOTES:
•I think it tastes better if you let it sit for at least 30 minutes which is why the "cooking" time is noted that way. After 30 minutes taste again, adjust the seasonings again if desired
•This keeps for 3-4 day if covered tight and refrigerated
Number of Servings: 25
