Slow Cooked Navy & Soy bean soup

Ingredients
2 cups navy beans1 cup soybean1 tbsp canola oil1 tsp salt5-6 medium tomatoes chopped1 medium onion
Directions
In a slow cooker put in the washed and rinsed beans along with 4-6 cups of water. When the beans are cooked, saute onions in the oil, add the chopped tomatoes and add salt and any spices you like. Cover and cook the onion tomato mixture for 5-10 min and add then add this to the beans. Stir and let the beans cook for another hour or so. Add water as required. Makes a very hearty soup.
