Ingredients
2.5 lbs ground beef1 cup streamed rice2 Tbs grated onion1 large can tomato soup1 large head cabbage
Directions
This makes a lot and I often make a half batch.

1. Blanch cabbage leaves. I put the whole head is a pot of boiling water and peal them off as they soften up otherwise the will tare and you want them whole.

2. mix ground beef, rice, onion, 1/2 of the can of tomato soup, and salt and pepper to taste. You can also add garlic if you like.

3. fill each leaf with .5 cup of meat mixture and wrap like a burrito, and place in a baking dish.

4. mix remainder of soup with equal parts water and pour over cabbage rolls.

bake at 325 for 2 hrs

Makes about 24.

I grew up on this cabbage roll recipe and love it! I have added V-8 juice to the sauce for added flavor. Thanks for posting. - 1/15/09

I made it with riced cauliflower in place of the rice this time! I also added some garlic powder. It was delicious! - 12/29/19

I might have gotten hold of some bad cabbage, but this seemed a little tough. Maybe covering it would help? The flavor was good, however. - 11/4/10

I haven't made this yet but I am wondering if I should cover it with foil while baking it? - 4/26/10

This recipe was very good - I used lean ground turkey instead of beef and used 2 cans of diced tomatoes for the liquid and it came out fantastic! This one is a keeper - - 10/26/08
