Dirty Rice

Ingredients
1 lb extra lean ground beef2 cloves garlic, minced2 stalks celery, chopped1 onion, chopped1 tbsp dried parsley1 green bell pepper, chopped1 red bell pepper, chopped1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce1/4 tsp red pepper1/4 tsp black pepper1 tsp salt1 C brown rice (either regular or instant), uncooked1 can beef broth1 C water
Directions
In a large skillet, add beef and all vegetables, cooking until beef is done and vegetables are tender. Add seasonings, stir well. Add rice, broth, and water, mixing well. Bring to a boil and reduce heat. Cover and cook 30-45 minutes for regular rice or 20 minutes for instant rice, or until rice is done.

    This was delicious! I did make a few modifications: instead of water I added 1 can of diced tomatoes, 1tsp oregano, 4 leave of fresh basil, 1 tsp cumin, and 1 tsp paprika. It just made the flavor more to my personal tastes. - 9/29/10

    Made it today..so delish! I tweaked the recipe a bit (I used ground turkey, soy sauce instead of worce. and chicken broth instead of beef) I like things with kick so I added more BP, scallions, accent, onion powder and zatarain's blackened seasoning. I wish I could eat this everyday! - 9/29/10
