Caramel Popcorn - Homemade

Ingredients
4 quarts popcorn1 cup light brown sugar1/2 cup butter1/4 cup light corn syrup1/2 tsp. salt1 tsp vanilla extract1/2 tsp baking soda
Directions
Place the popped popcorn into a large brown paper bag. Set aside. In 2 quart dish, combine the brown sugar, butter, corn syrup, salt and vanilla. Heat for 3 minutes in the microwave. Stir and heat again for 1 to 2 minutes until sugar is dissolved. Remove from microwave and stir in baking soda.
Pour syrup over the popcorn in the bag. Roll down the top of the bag to seal and shake to cover popcorn. Microwave for 1 minute 10 seconds. Remove and shake again to coat popcorn. Microwave for 1 minute 10 seconds again. Dump the popcorn out onto waxed paper to cool until coating is set. Store in airtight container.
