Italian sausage penne

Ingredients
1 lb Italian Sausage, casings removed1 cup fat free half and half2 cans Hunts diced tomatoes2 cloves garlic, minced1/2 a medium onion, chopped1 Tbsp dry sage1 lb penne, cooked and drained
Directions
Brown sausage, onions, and garlic in a large skillet. Break up the sausage as you go. Add the cream and let simmer about 5 minutes.
Meanwhile, boil and drain the pasta.
Add tomatoes and sage to sausage and cream. Simmer about 10 more minutes, until sauce thickens well. Toss with pasta. This makes a ton, can serve 10 at least. Keeps well in the fridge for a few days.

    Delicious & easy to prepare! I needed to make something quickly w/ingredients on hand. I didn't have sage, so I substituted Italian seasoning and I didn't have fat-free half & half, so I used a quarter cup of regular half & half instead. Can hardly wait to try it with the full cup! - 6/15/09
