Turkey Noodle Soup

Ingredients
1/2 cup of chopped carrots2 garlic cloves1/2 cup of chopped onion1/2 cup of chopped turnips1/2 cup of summer squash3 tbsp of olive oil3 cups of chicken broth1 12 oz can of canned turkey, which is about 1 cup.3/4 cup of rice penne pasta noodles2 cups of water1/2 tsp salt1 tbsp basil
Directions
Saute the carrots, onions, turnips, and garlic in the olive oil for about 5-10 minutes in a soup pot. Then add the chicken broth, water, basil, and salt. Bring to a boil. Drain the Turky and add to the soup along with the squash and pasta noodles. Heat through for 15 minutes.
Makes 6 1.5 cup servings.
