Beef Strogonoff (w/ rice)

Ingredients
Crock Pot!1 lb stew meat (tenderized if possible)1 can cream of mushroom soup8 oz. Sour Cream1 cup long grain white rice (or favorite rice)
Directions
Place meat and cream of mushroom soup in a crock pot. Add seasonings (I use pepper, salt and garlic powder). Add roughly a tablespoon of water and stir. Let cook for 4 hours stirring occasionally. When finished add the sour cream.

Boil 2 cups of water. Pour in rice and simmer covered for 15 minutes.

Serve with meat sauce over rice. Makes 3 servings.

    I made this Strogonoff today and it was excellent! I doubled the recipe and used Healthy Request Soup, as well as low fat sour cream. I too added minced garlic. I coated my beef with flour and browned the beef with onion before putting the mixture in the crock pot. I will make this again. - 2/20/11

    Instead of a can of Mushroom soup I used i can Progresso low sodium French onion soup only cause it was all I had in the house at the time. and mmmnn it was good. - 8/20/09

    This was a great recipe. I added some minced garlic (1 tsp) with the salt and pepper and onion powder. It came out wonderful! We will have this again! - 5/11/09
