Sharon's Ground Turkey Burgers

Ingredients
2 lbs Jennie-O lean ground turkey1/2 cup finely chopped sweet onion 1/2 cup finely chopped green bell pepper1/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs1 large eggsalt and pepper to taste***2 pk of low sodium beef bouillon, optional******may substitute egg beatters for the egg***
Directions
Mix all ingredients in a bowl then patty out into 9 hearty burgers.

(Optional..may add 2 pks of low sodium beef bouillon to to mixture to give burgers a more beefy flavor)

Place each burger on broiler pan and cook @ 450 until done (about 15-20 min, turning once midway. Remeber, ovens vary, so cook until done, but don't over cook or burger will be dry)

May be cooked on grill as well.
Serve on whole wheat buns or eat plain with a side salad.

    Hey, Try this with cheeze-it's or some type cheese cracker (look for one that may be more diet, nutrition friendly) rather than bread crumbs. It adds a tang to these. - 10/5/10
