This is a very good recipe, I make it quite often and my husband loves it, I use white meat and sometimes I take the carcus of the turkey and boil it for the broth and take all the excess meat off the bone. - 1/15/09

Last time I made it, I used a whole turkey leg and simmered that in the broth/water for about an hour...then took it out, cooled, removed the meat and add it into the soup. Thanks!

Make sure you use a mildly seasoned broth for this flavorful soup. I have made this the last three years using Thanksgiving turkey and homemade broth. This year I replaced the noodles with barley for another fine taste. I also like to add mushrooms. TFS! - 12/1/11

I used breast meat and also added broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms, green beans, and onion powder to the soup... like my soup to be full of veggies as well as meat and noodles. - 1/20/21

Awesomely easy and absolutely delish! Thankyou! The only thing I did different was to add 6 cups of Swanson Lower Sodium Chicken broth instead of half broth/half water. Yum! Everything else stayed the same. - 12/10/15

This is by far the best chicken/turkey soup I've had! The only change I made was to use barley in place of the noodles. - 1/15/15

this was really great, i added extra turkey, an extra cup of water and ate it without any noodles. I also used low sodium broth and it was delicious. The turkey I had left over was a smoked turkey so it had a great flavor. Thanks for sharing!!! SOO SIMPLE TO MAKE! - 1/18/10
