I really like this recipe! I've actually made it twice in the last 3 days. The second time I made it, I used 1/2 cup applesauce and added 1/8 tsp nutmeg and 1 tsp vanilla. Also, I only baked mine for about 35 minutes, until the toothpick came out clean. Delicious!! - 1/19/09

WOW i just finished making this and trying it, and all i can say is thank you, i hate sweet banana bread this is perfect because the only sweetness is the bananas, i cut the sugar down to 1/4 cup, and it turned out beautifully. Thank you for the great banana bread - 4/21/11

made this last night as a loaf and it came out a little tough (over mixed ?) and it was still a little raw at the bottom of the loaf. I cooked it for the full 55 mins. The kids loved it. I will try it as a muffin with the changes posted. - 3/30/09

I did just what LAMMBO8 did and upped the applesauce and added the nutmeg and vanilla. I'd never tried it before but this was very good :) - 3/19/09

Being that this is so very healthy, I was happy with the taste and texture. However, when I make it in the future I might add something to make it a bit sweeter- maybe more banana or craisins. As a real indulgence craisins and white chocolate chips would be perfect, but that's not very healthy! - 1/20/09
