Crawfish (& Shrimp) Etouffee

Ingredients
1 lb. crawfish (peeled & deveined)1 lb. shrimp1 TB butter1 tsp cayenne pepper1 tsp kosher salt1 medium onion, chopped1 bell pepper, diced8 oz. tomato sauce8 oz water2 TB parsley3 cloves garlic
Directions
Cook the onion, bellpeppers, garlic, parsley & crawfish in butter, cayenne, salt & pepper over medium - high heat until soft (the vegetables, not the bugs)
add the shrimp & cook until just turning pink
add the tomato sauce & water.
let cook till you're ready for it.
serve over rice.

    To simplify this recipe even more, use salsa and add 1 can of lowfat cream of shrimp soup --- delicious!!! - 2/26/10
