Penne Norcia

Ingredients
1 lb penne pasta (whole wheat)1 lb italian sausage, sliced4 cloves garlic, minced1/2 cup half and half2 C tomato sauce1 C chopped mushrooms1/3 C white winesalt and pepper to taste2 T olive oil1 T butter1/2 C grated parmesan
Directions
Cook and drain pasta while preparing sauce.
Pour olive oil in saute pan and brown sausage.
Add garlic and mushrooms and let garlic cook until pale golden color.
Pour in white wine and let alcohol evaporate.
Add tomato sauce, cream, salt and pepper then allow sauce to simmer until it thicens and sausage and mushrooms are cooked.
Add hot pasta to sauce. Stir in butter and parmesan. Serve immediately.
