Vanilla Chocolate Chips Cookies

Ingredients
50g Self-raising flour (sifted)25g butter25g sugar1 1/2 tablespoon chocolate chips1/4 teaspoon vanilla essence1/4 egg (beaten)
Directions
Makes around 8 to 12 cookies .

1. Cut butter into small pieces. Rub butter into the flour with fingertips until the mixtre resembles bread crumbs.
2. Add sugar, vanilla essence and chocolate chips into the ' bread crumbs ' and mix well.
3. Add the beaten egg a little at a time and mix.
4. Preheat the oven to 190 degree Celsius.
5. Roll out dough on the pastry board to an acceptable thickness. Cut into pieces using biscuit cutters and place onto a greased baking tray.
6. Glaze the surface of the biscuit with egg.
7. Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes or until the biscuit turns golden brown.
