better for you strawberry shortcake

~~angelfood cake (bought or made, regular or sugarfree)~~strawberries (1 to 1 1/2 pints..few to decorate the top and rest to blend for sauce)~~cool whip (big size this is your icing)
this recipe is not cooked unless you are making the angelfood from scratch or out of a box...the one that i have made is from a store bought..
STRAWBERRY SAUCE
take the pint or so of strawberries...cut into pieces and add sugar or sugar substute...let set until juicy...then take the juice and strawberries add to blender or food processor and process...pour into sieve to remove seed or other pieces..this step can be skipped if you want to....place into bowl or bottle for guest to pour over their piece of cake...
CAKE AND ICING
i bought a store bought cake but you can make one if wanted...simply ice cake with cool whip and decorate as you wish with remaining strawberries...
