easy lentil soup

Ingredients

200 gr lentils200 gr chopped carrots (fresh or frozen)2 cloves garlic1 soup cube (vegetable, chicken or beef)2 tsp paprika1 tbsp tomato paste
soak green lentils for a couple of hours. Add lentils to a large pan, add all other ingredients except for carrots, cover with water, bring to boil and then simmer for 15 minutes. Add chopped carrots (frozen work very well too!) and simmer for another 15-20 minutes.
Option: you can add a sausage to this soup and cook it together with lentils. For a lighter version, add chopped hot dogs along with carrots...
This is light, filling, healthy, and, yes, cheap!!!
