Achiote Grilled Shrimp

1oz Achiote paste1/4 tsp allspiceJuice of 1 lime15 medium shrimp (3/4 pound of shrimp)
Toast the ground allspice in a pan on medium high heat until it just begins to smoke, stirring constantly. Put the achiote paste in a shallow bowl, add the toasted allspice and the juice of one lime, and dissolve by hand until mixed well.
Place shrimp into a large bowl and pour the achiote marinade all over it and rub in well. Allow to marinade in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Put the shrimp on skewers and grill until done.
Makes 3 servings of 5 medium shrimp.
