Ingredients
DRY INGREDIENTS:1 c oatmeal, dry1 c flour1 T baking powder1/2 tsp baking soda1/2 c brown sugar1 tsp cinnamonWET INGREDIENTS:3 ripe bananas1 egg1 tsp vanillaButter flavored PAM for preparing the pan.
Directions
Use food processor or blender to chop oats until they resemble flour. Mix with all the dry ingredients.

Mash bananas and other wet ingredients together. (I use a food processor.) And add to the dry ingredients. Pour into a loaf pan sprayed with PAM.

Bake at 375 for 40 minutes. Turn out and cool before slicing. Don't worry! It is great warm too, if you can't wait that long.

Will make 16 generous slices, as shown in photo.

Your nutritional stats are way off on these. There isn't even 26 grams of protein in the whole recipe let alone in one muffin. You may want to recheck your numbers. - 11/21/12

This recipe is very good. I did not find the bread to be heavy as some others said. However, in the nutrition analysis, it says this has 26 grams of protein in one serving. I reevaluated it using the recipe calculator and only came up with 2 grams of protein. Something must be wrong there. - 5/8/12

I added 1/2 cup of applesauce and a dash of nutmeg and made this recipe into cookies. they are an easy on-the-go and tastey breakfast! - 9/26/11

Yum! I don't have a food processor, but stone-ground quick oats worked well. My 15 month old ate half of my mashed bananas so I had to cut the recipe in half. That cut the cooking time in half too, and the (short) loaf came out very yummy! Thank you. - 9/30/10

I made this recipe with 1/2C Splenda brown sugar blend and a little yogurt for more moistness. I added walnuts for nutrition...... very good, thank you - 6/23/09

I added 1/4 tsp of nutmeg, 2/3 cup of dried cranberries, and 1/2 cup chopped pecans to the recipe and made them into muffins. I baked them at 375 for 15 minutes. They were very good. Thank you. - 6/6/09

I love all the add-in. I wish I could do it, but have a son allergic to nuts and cranberries. But I did think about raisins... And the nutmeg would be a great addition. I have made this recipe with pumpkin substituted for the bananas and pumpkin pie spice. It was GREAT!

Great. Some have said the protein amount is too high, so I added protein power to get a 26.3 g of protein in my loaf.

This is an excellent recipe. I added 1/4 cup of pecans to it because I like nuts in my banana bread which increases the calories to about 112 and the fat to 2 g. Excellent for a snack! I agree that the protein is not correct should be about 2. - 9/22/12

I made this. It was great. I had it for breakfast every morning til it was gone. I'm going to try it with pumpkin next like one of the reviewers suggested. - 9/14/11

This was pretty good, just a little chewy because of the oats. Other than that, it was incredibly easy to make and I will definitely be making it again. - 9/1/11

I just made this bread! Tastes great a little heavy but really good! I will for sure make this again! I also used whole wheat flour instead of white flour! Thanks for the recipe! - 8/22/11

I liked it was not that sweet, but I think it was a little dry maybe I will add some applesauce next time. And I used 2 cups of whole wheat flour and I put 1/2 cup of chocolate chips . And I used a 9 by 5 pan and I got 13 pieces I will recalcuate for my tracker. - 8/7/11

Far too much cinnamon and a very short little loaf. Also, bananas come in all sizes now. Are you calling for a cup of mashed bananas or 3 of any size? - 7/13/11

I love the simplicity of this recipe! I added 1/2 cup of chocolate chips since my son loves chocolate chips in his banana bread. It's healthy enough for me add the extra calories. - 7/1/11

My boys loved it but my husband and I thought it was a little dry. Perhaps next time I'll add a some applesauce or a little butter. - 6/21/11

My family and I loved it! Saddly I had the oven too high so it cooked a little fast, but it was still simple and delicious(: It made the house smell amazing too! haha - 6/4/11

This was a delicious recipe I made it tonight for my family and they loved it. I added cranberries, raisins, dates, and walnuts to it and also cut the flour in half with wheat flour. Will definitely be making them again. - 6/4/11
