I just made this tonight. I ran out of white vinegar but had rice vinegar and it substituted very well. I enjoyed this very much. May try garlic next time. Yummy! I love tomatoes & cucumbers but family does not, so I may make a smaller batch next time. - 7/8/09

My mom used to make this as an alternative to green salad, so I have been eating this since I was a child. I use lo cal bottled Italian dressing and have never tried it with the onio, but I will. - 6/9/09

Great!! After a couple hours in the vinegar, drain most vinegar and add calorie wise miracle whip/mayo. To die for! - 8/4/09

I made mine the day before and kept shaking it around. Tons of juices left so I will probably modify that the next time. Very refreshing and my other half loved it to. Thanks for sharing. - 7/18/09

I make this and I add peppers and mix in some crushed garlic with balsamic vinegar and splenda also. It's wonderful the next day too! - 6/24/09

Very nice. My husband likes it and that is saying a lot. We chop the cucumber for him rather than just slice. We prefer Vidalia onions. - 5/11/18

This sounds like a Weight Watchers recipe my aunt told me about, but instead of the vinegar and olive oil you just use lemon pepper -either way, it's really good (: - 6/26/11

I made this as a side dish to round out my daughter's favorite birthday meal of BBQ ribs. She loved it, as did the rest of my family. I will definitely be making this again. - 11/20/09
