Black Bean Burgers

Directions
1 can black beans, undrained1 can chopped green chilis, undrained1 cup plain bread crumbs1 teaspoon cumin1 teaspoon chili powderCornmeal (to roll patty in - about 1/2 cup)Vegetable oil.
Mix together first 5 ingredients in a blender or food processor. Shape into patties (approx. 1/2 cup per patty). Roll in cornmeal. Fry patties on oiled pan until crispy. Serve on buns with toppings of your choice.

I made a similar recipe of these where they didn't use cornmeal, just fried in a pan with non-stick spray. So delicious! But may I recommend a "chipotle mayonnaise." Chop up a chipotle chile in adobo sauce, and mix it with 2 tablespoons of light mayo. SO good with these black bean burgers! - 1/22/10
