Cream cheese with crushed pineapple is good too. My mom made that for us when we were kids. - 9/23/09

I got this in my email inbox today and can't wait to try it. My only wish is that it had come out earlier in the summer when strawberries were in full season. Perhaps Chef Meg could begin making the recipe of the day something more in tune with the current seasons? I would love that! - 9/23/09

I love strawberries and I love cream cheese so it's no wonder I loved this recipe. I forgot to grill it after making up the sandwiches, I multiplied the recipe to share with my family. It was great even cold like that! - 2/25/10

This just did not taste very good at all. The cream cheese on the whole wheat pita was unappetizing. Too sweet. - 12/28/09

Used to make this with strawberry jam and loved it. Fresh strawberry's and reduced fat cream cheese keeps the wonderful taste while making it down-right healthier. Thanks. - 9/29/09

Dessert nothing! I had this for lunch and it is awesome! Even if the pita falls apart (which mine did, as I have issues opening pitas) it's still excellent. - 6/22/10

I made a similar sandwich with 1 tbsp of peanut butter and sliced strawberries between 2 slices of low cal toast. It was great! Bread together 70 cals, peanutbutter 95 cals. - 7/21/10

Fantastic! I made it with brown rice bread to avoid the gluten. This is the first "spark recipe" I made and I love it. - 1/30/10

I must admit I was skeptical at first...strawberries and cream cheesed seemed kinda yuck. But I had the stuff in the house and so I figured I'd try it. It was GREAT! The warm strawberries and the cream cheese were melt in your mouth! YUM YUM YUM :) - 5/21/10

This made a great breakfast. I did add 1 tsp. of sugar to the cream cheese/strawberry mixture. It was a little too tart for me. Otherwise, great! - 5/8/10

My daughter and I just tried this and it is a keeper. We used pineapple and tortillas. We think we will try adding a bit of cinnamon the next time. I like the idea of adding walnuts. - 6/2/10
