Angel Hair With Shrimp and Tomato Pesto

12 oz angel hair whole wheat pasta1 jar (6.7 oz) Sacla Sun dried tomato pesto pesto sauce1 cup fresh basil leaves ( I used 1 71.25g container)2 cloves garlic.25 cup (1 oz) grated romano cheese1 tbs. extra virgin olive oil1 1/2 lbs medium shrimp, peeled and deveined1 medium red bell pepper, thinly sliced3 scallions, thinly sliced1/2 tsp salt
Prepare the angel hair according to directions on package. Drain, reserving .25 cup of the pasta water.
In a food processor or blender, combine the tomato pesto, basil, garlic, and cheese. Process until smooth. If necessary, add in a tablespoon or two of the pasta cooking water to thin the pesto.
Heat the oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add the shrimp, pepper, scallions, and salt. Cook, stirring often, for 4 minutes, or until shrimp are opaque and cooked through.
Place the angel hair in a large bowl and toss with the pesto. Top with the shrimp mixture.
