Sausage & Kale Soup

Ingredients
Directions
12 cups of water3 large carrots (cut into coins)2 medium onions4 cups of kale8 links of sausage3 large potatoes (cubed)4 cloves of garlic10 bullion cubes (chicken or beef) or use stoc and skip the water
This makes 12 1 - cup servings
Step 1. Take Sausage and put it in a baking dish. Put it in the oven at 400 degrees (cook for 25 minutes or so)
Step 2. Put 12 cups of water or stock in a pot
Step 3. Cut potatoes into cubes (add to pot)
Step 4: Cut carrots into coins (add to pot)
Step 5: Chop onions (add to pot)
Step 5: Mince Garlic (add to pot)
Step 6: Turn bring soup to a boil
Step 7. When sausage is done, slice it into coins and add it to pot. Now let all of this cook for around 30 - 45 minutes or until potatoes are soft.
Step 8: Toss your chopped kale in and let it cook for no more than a minute or two and then serve!
Step 9: Eat it! I sometimes add red pepper flakes or some other herbs (cilantro or parsley) to the pot

PEACEFULONE
This is good, but too salty for me. I cut the bouillon cubes to 10 and it was still too salty. I will use 8 bouillon cubes next time. The vegetables got too done. I will only cook a total of 30 minutes next time. Added 2 more cups of cooked kale the second day and it was delicious. - 8/3/14

I used 1 lb. of Jimmy Dean lowfat sausage since I had no idea what "8 links" of sausage meant. I also used garlic powder since I can't keep real garlic in the house without it spoiling. But my kids absolutely loved this. This will be my go-to recipe for Kale from now on. I even gave 4 cups away! - 10/26/10
