Spicy Chickpea Veggie Burgers on Sandwich Thins

2 15 oz can no sodium added chickpeas2 small stalks of celery finely diced1 small onion finely diced1 tbsp dried parsley1 tsp of sesame seeds1 tsp minced garlic1.5 tsp sage1 egg1 tbsp red chili pepper1 cup shredded cheddar cheese ( you could use 2% to cut down on calories even more)1 1/4 cup italian style breadcrumbs6 Orowheat Whole Wheat Sandwich ThinsCooking SprayWhatever topping you like on your burgers. Those calories are not figured in.
Drain the chickpeas in a colander, then rinse them. I allow all the moisture to drain then blot them with a paper towel, so they don't make the burgers soggy. Mash them completely, they should look like refried beans.
In a large mixing bowl combine, all your ingredients.
Mix thoroughly
Heat skillet coated with cooking spray.
Form mixture into 6 similiarly sized balls, flatten balls and place in hot skillet.
Brown completely on each side ( about 10 mins) then remove from skillet and fix up like a burger.
Makes 6 burgers.
