Pumpkin Granola Bars

Ingredients
3/4 cup canned pumpkin1 egg1/4 cup margarine2 tbs molasses1/4 cup honey2 cup rolled oats1/2 cup sunflower seeds1/2 cup walnuts1 tsp ground cinnamon
Directions
mix pumpkin, butter, egg, honey and molasses together. Add oats, sunflower seeds, nuts and cinnamon; mix together well. Spread into lightly greased cookie sheet (about 15 1/2 X 10 1/2). Bake at 350F for 40 minutes or until golden brown. While warm, cut into 1X3 inch bars.

    This was my first attempt at granola. Love pumpkin so decided to give it a go. Took out walnuts (allergic) and added choc chips (choc-o-holic). Didn't have molasses so added xtra 2 tbsp of honey. Had trouble cutting into bars that hoed together, so crumbled and will pkg. in 1-2oz bags.

    These are good, though not as sweet as I expected. I used half pumpin seeds and half sunflower seeds. Very good crumbled into morning yogurt. - 3/1/10

    Love this recipe! I did a bit of experimenting with this and reduced the amount of honey- I don't recommend you do this because the bars don't stick together:) This reminded me of pumpkin pie- yum! - 2/22/10
