Ham and Bean Soup

Ingredients
3/4 lb. cooked ham1 medium onion, chopped2 garlic cloves, minced2 tablespoons butter2 cans great northern beans4 cups chicken broth1 cup water1 cup peeled diced potatoes3/4 cup diced carrots3/4 cup diced celery1/4 teaspoon pepper1/2 cup frozen peas2 tablespoons parsley
Directions
Saute ham, onion & garlic in butter until tender. Add next 7 ingredients; cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Add peas and cook for additional 5 minutes. Add parsley and serve.
