I tried this last night, with a couple of modifications: seasoned the beef with a blend of salt, pepper, and garlic powder before cooking, omitted soy sauce, used olive oil instead of butter, and added a chopped bell pepper to the carmelizing veg. It was delicious. I can't wait to make it again. - 1/6/11

This was great! Just the right amount of pepper so that you could really taste it, but the dish wasn't too "hot" for the kids! The whole family enjoyed and like stated before, has a restaurant taste to it! So Yummy! I will definitely be making this again! - 11/13/10

Filling comfort food!! The only modification we made was garlic salt to the meat. Put it over a cup of mashed potatoes with a side of green beans with garlic. Amazing and so filling. Supper came to just under 600 calories total! This recipe is a keeper! - 5/5/16

Very good, but the sirloin was tasteless. I will add salt and spices next time to the beef before sauteing it. - 8/22/11
